Small Groups

SMALL GROUPS (HOMEGROUPS)

As well as our regular Sunday services we encourage our members to be part of a midweek group that meets in someone's home. These are meant for encouragement, support, Bible study, fellowship and prayer. The average size of a homegroup would be about a dozen.

We have a number of groups in our member's homes meeting on different days and at varying times. Some are geographical groups while others are more age or interest related.

CURRENT GROUPS:

18-30'S Group: Led by Ben Cavaghan, Cherie Mollentze & James Robertson with the help of David & Shirley Pengilly. A Taunton wide group.

Afternoon Group: Led by Mary Stephens and mostly attended by some of our senior members, this group normally meets on a Wednesday afternoon.

Canalside: Led by Stewart Ashcroft & Helen Phillips, this group formed itself among some of our younger couples and singles. This group normally meets on a Thursday evening at various venues in Taunton & Creech St Michael.

Dillons Group: Led by Alan & Jenny Shuttleworth, this group meets on a Wednesday evening in central Creech St Michael.

Monkton Group: Led by Ken & Peggy Darch, this group meets on a Wednesday evening in Monkton Heathfield.

Ruishton Group: Led by Brian & Penny Vincent, this large and dedicated group normally meets meets on a Wednesday in the nearby village of Ruishton.

Newlands Group: Led by Andrew & Ruth James with Steve & Anne Jewell, this group formed in early 2008 and meets fortnightly in Ruishton on a Wednesday evening.

Orchard Group: Led by Reuben & Dawn Willcocks, Graham & Carol Lunt and Ian Kelland, which meets on Thursdays at Henlade or Thornfalcon.

Puppet Team: Led by Nick Birch, those who are involved in our puppet team ministry also meet most weeks on a Wednesday to practice their skills, and spend time studying and praying together.

There are also a few informal groups that meet through the week.
