When Jesus Builds his church

Not by Strength or by Might, but by My Spirit

Jesus promised that he would not leave his disciples as orphans, that he would come to them, and that he would build his church. And this is what he did when he sent his Spirit. For the Holy Spirit is no mere impersonal force – he is the very presence of Jesus amongst his people, leading us, shaping us and equipping us together to live fruitful

lives and to be a part of God’s Kingdom breaking in on earth.

As we step forward into a new season and return to the church building, it is right we remember: not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit will our church flourish. But what exactly does the church look like when Jesus builds it?
